Looking ahead to 2026
Planned work — most of it under the hood, some visible to players:
- The server will move to a new physical location.
- Upgrade the driver to the current version (1.7.8 at time of writing).
- Complete the move to vanilla DGD, with Viking MUD adaptations as a separate module — streamlining future upgrades.
- Upgrade password hashing to Argon2id for improved security. This will require all characters to change their passwords.
- Implement FTPS support, and TLS for regular MUD connections.
- Make wizard manual files and regular help files available on the website.
- Release more areas and features, and continue expanding the world.
- Continue bugfixing.
