Creating Your Own distributed.net ID and Joining Viking MUD

1. Download the RC5 client appropriate for your computer system(s).
2. Configure the client as instructed in the provided documentation from distributed.net.
3. If you don't want to use your own e-mail address as the sender of the RC5 packages, you may use

   rc5 <-> vikingmud.org

   Note! This will void your right to the individual USD 1 000 part of the prize, which will then go to Viking MUD, increasing Viking MUD's potential winnings to USD 2 000.
4. Start the client, and submit RC5 packages to distributed.net.
5. Wait until you appear on the participant list on the statistics server (use the search field near the top of the page to find your registered e-mail address). You will most likely appear after 04:00 UTC (*)(21:00 PDT, 00:00 EDT, 06:00 MET DST) if you submitted any blocks before 00:00 UTC (**).
6. When you appear on the list, select your user ID to get more detailed information, and choose the link at the bottom of the stats page, "I cannot remember my password. Please email ...". The stats server will then send the password to the e-mail address you configured your RC5 client with.
7. If you used one of your own e-mail addresses, you should receive your password to that address within 10 minutes.
8. Join Viking MUD's RC5 team!
9. Enter your ID (the e-mail address) and password in the popup window.
10. View Viking MUD's RC5 team's statistics (and team member information, if you like)!
